Successful French Championship

For his comeback in 2016, Quentin takes part in the French championship organized at the Velodrome Bordeaux-Lac, his home region.

Good start, as he gets the best time at the flying 200 m time trial in 9″98, then he qualifies for the final after winning the ¼ and ½ finals in 2 rounds. In final he competes against his friend Charlie Conord whom he beats in 2 rounds. This new sprint title is the 3rd straight one for Quentin.

The Keirin is on the 2nd day of competition. Quentin qualifies for the final thanks to a 3rd place during qualifying rounds. Quentin takes charge of the race at the very beginning. Charlie Conord, placed in second position during the whole race, finishes first and leaves the 2nd place to Quentin on the podium. Quentin finishes the French championship with the kilometer from scratch. It’s an important test before the European Championship in October 19-23, 2016 in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. With a time of 1’02″01, Quentin wins the kilometer from scratch title for the 3rd time in Elite after 2010 and 2011.

With the later, Quentin holds now 11 French Championship titles, out of which 9 in Elite. Quentin is satisfied with his performance: 2 titles and one silver medal, self-confidence before the main objective of the season, the 2016 European Championship in about two weeks.
